The 2026 summer mountain biking season is winding down in Big Bear Valley, but riders still have time to get a few more runs in before the lifts stop spinning. Snow Summit Bike Park will host its closing day on Sunday, October 4, marking the end of summer operations at the resort.
Once Snow Summit shuts down for the season, the dirt fun shifts over to Snow Valley, which stays open a few weeks longer with its own closing day set for Sunday, October 25. That gives riders nearly an extra month to keep shredding the trails on the other side of the valley.
It's worth keeping expectations flexible heading into the final weeks of the season. Big Bear Mountain Resorts notes that operating dates can shift from year to year depending on weather and staffing conditions, and neither a season pass nor an advance reservation guarantees a minimum season length. Before making the drive up the hill, riders should check Big Bear Mountain Resorts' website or social media for any last-minute schedule changes.
