Big Bear Hike Club has packed September with outdoor events and social meetups for residents of all activity levels. Whether you're looking to log some serious elevation or just share a meal and talk trail plans, the club has something on the calendar almost every week of the month.

The month kicks off with social nights at Wyatt's on Wednesday, September 2 and 29 at 6 pm, where members gather to eat, plan upcoming hikes, and — dancing optional — enjoy some company.

Early risers can join Trailblazer Thursdays / AM Squad on September 10 and 17 at 7:30 am at Snow Summit, tackling The Wall and Bobsled trails for a brisk start to the day. Then on Saturday, September 12 at 8:00 am, the club heads to Grandview Point — a 7.4-mile route with 1,167 feet of elevation gain — meeting at Aspen Glen Picnic Area. Interested hikers should DM the club to join.

Midweek hikers can catch the Trek Thursday outing to Grays Peak on September 24 at 4:30 pm, meeting at the Grays Peak trailhead.

The final weekend of the month is especially full. On Saturday, September 26 from 9 am to 1 pm, the club is hosting a trail cleanup on Sugarloaf — sign-ups are available through the Big Bear Trails profile. The following day, Sunday, September 27 from 4–6 pm, the club's book club meets to discuss The Chronology of Water by Lidia Yuknavitch; RSVP by DM to get the meetup location.

The club describes itself as welcoming to anyone who loves the outdoors — or even just a good potluck. To sign up for hikes or RSVP for events, reach out to Big Bear Hike Club directly through their Facebook page.
