The California Highway Patrol logged an open traffic hazard on State Route 330 at Upper Passing Lane in the Arrowhead area, according to the CHP's computer-aided dispatch incident log.[1] The log lists the incident under the code 1125, the CHP's designation for a traffic hazard, and shows its status as open.[1]
SR-330 is a route many Big Bear Valley residents use for commutes, deliveries and trips down the mountain, so a hazard on the highway can affect travel times for anyone driving to or from the valley. Drivers heading through the Arrowhead area on SR-330 may want to check current road conditions before leaving.
The CHP log entry gives only the location and the open status. It does not describe what the hazard is, which lanes are affected, or how long it may last.
Current highway conditions are available from Caltrans at quickmap.dot.ca.gov.
