Captain's Anchorage Restaurant and Bar

Nice restaurant, good service but food is ok. Appetizers were good, melted cheese and artichokes. We shared a prime rib a steak Diane and wine by the glass. The dessert was very good, we shared a butter toffee cake. I ordered an espresso but they have only regular coffee.

We ended up sitting at one of the few tables in the bar because we didn't make reservations early enough for main room. The dark, vintage, western atmosphere was fun. We spent a bit of time talking with the lovely Loraine about the ghost sightings. Seems the place is haunted late at night when few are around. Anyway, we started with the garlicky mushrooms. What a wonderful experience! Very rustic restaurant with excellent service and the staff is all friendly and very helpful. Nice large outdoor patio and a beautiful stone fireplace indoors with comfortable Naugahyde booth seating as well as tables. I enjoyed a lobster tail and the artichoke and they were both lovely! They recommend!
