Pip Watch Begins as Jackie and Shadow's Eaglets Near Hatching

Eagle Watch

pip watch

Pip watch is officially on for Big Bear's beloved bald eagle pair. Jackie and Shadow are diligently incubating two eggs from their second clutch of the 2026 season, laid after ravens destroyed their first two eggs earlier in the year. With bald eagle eggs typically incubating for about 35 days, hatch day could arrive any time now. Thousands of viewers worldwide are glued to the Friends of Big Bear Valley nest cam, watching for the first tiny crack in the shell that signals new life.
