Eagle Watch

hatched

Chick 1 hatched on the evening of April 4 after pipping was first observed on April 3. Jackie and Shadow have been attentively caring for the newborn in their nest high above Big Bear Lake. A second egg remains in the nest and is being closely watched for signs of pipping. This is the pair's second clutch of 2026, laid in late February after losing their first two eggs earlier in the season.
