A 33-year-old San Diego man has died following a rock climbing accident in Big Bear, and his family is now asking for the community's support. Andy Ferrarone suffered serious injuries while climbing in Big Bear on July 12, 2026, and died in the hospital three days later, on July 15, according to his obituary.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help support Ferrarone's family, describing the incident as a "horrific" accident. Among those the campaign was created to support is Ferrarone's wife, who is expecting a child.
