Lucerne Valley's America's 250th fireworks show rescheduled for Aug. 29
The celebration postponed in June due to fire and wind danger is back on, with a full afternoon of food, games, and a fireworks show at Pioneer Park.

The Lucerne Valley Fireworks Committee has set a new date for its America's 250th Birthday Celebration and Fireworks Spectacular — and this time, the full party is on. The event runs from 3 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, at Pioneer Park on Old Woman Springs Road in Lucerne Valley, next to the San Bernardino County Fire Station.
The red, white, and blue-themed afternoon will feature food vendors, games, activities, local vendors, a beer garden, a tribute to veterans, and a fireworks show after dark.
The event was originally planned for June 27 but was called off over concerns about high winds and fire danger — a call the committee stood by when strong winds did sweep through the area that night. Committee member Angie Miller told the Victorville Daily Press at the time that the postponement was "the right call."
