Big Bear Valley Electric Service (BVES) has notified customers that a brief, planned power interruption may occur on Friday, September 18, sometime between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The utility says the actual outage is expected to last only a few moments — not the full window — while BVES supports scheduled maintenance work on Southern California Edison lines.

BVES issued the notice on September 14. The utility has not specified which circuits or neighborhoods are affected, so the full customer impact is not yet clear from the published notification.

Customers who rely on electrically powered medical equipment should plan accordingly. For questions about the outage, contact BVES directly.
