Big Bear Lake is getting a new fall tradition built around one of its most famous residents. Wings Over Big Bear, billed as a community tribute to Jackie the bald eagle, will run October 3–4, 2026, at Bear Mountain Ski Resort, with events beginning at 10:00 AM each day.

Jackie has drawn a global following through live nest cameras and wildlife coverage, making her one of the most recognized bald eagles in the world. The festival is designed to celebrate that connection between the local community and the eagle who has called Big Bear home.
