Mountain Room Escapes Big Bear
Matt met us with kindness and a great sense of humor, and when he surprised us with a magic trick during the intro we knew we were in for a treat! We played The Inventor's Workshop: The room was so fun and had such a neat story, puzzles were unique and inventive with a wide variety of puzzle styles, and there was enough to keep all three of us busy but still communicating with each other as we searched and strategized. A great room, a fun experience, and an awesome game master - thank you, Matt!
Big Bear Off Road Experience
Took a father-son weekend and so glad we chose Big Bear Off Road!! Connor was awesome from start to finish. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience all around. We would highly recommend and will come back if we get a chance to visit the Big Bear area again. Thanks again for a great time!!
Sunset Big Bear
Beautiful spot with somewhat hit or miss street parking on the north or south side of the walkway. On a clear evening the sunset is absolutely beautiful with the sun setting over the mountains and the water. Pictures don't do it justice, just come for yourself 10 or 15 minutes before sunset to get the full experience 😎 Also nearby there's a boardwalk which also gives amazing views of the sunset!
Big Bear Lake Village Welcome Sign
Very beautiful downtown easy to find free parking and public restrooms. I visited Big Bear lake every year but this year October 2025 very beautiful fall colors. Highly recommended.
Dam Keepers House
a nice little stop on your way to big bear. Good views of the dam and lake. Parking is across the street, right at the bend. Limited.
Bear Valley Dam
I have been coming up here since I was a child it's so beautiful and relaxing there is so much wildlife and Aquatic Life just be ready to walk and be able to jump on rocks. The fishing is great and so are the views just be aware for all the cops up here they will pull you over for anything and harass you
Bernardino Beach
I even came here to release the Mickey Mouse I caught at home!
Action Zipline Tours
Had a great time today. The guides were fun, the equipment was newer and in excellent condition. We went on 9 zip lines, and my sister in law was hilarious on the suspension bridge.
Big Bear Alpine Zoo
Not a huge zoo but perfect for a quick outing with little ones. Plenty of room to look at the animals. We never felt crowded. Everything seem well maintained and the zoo grounds were clean. Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms.
Big Bear Queen Lake Tour
The most breathtaking tour with the nicest captain! Chris was nice enough to call me the day before and warm me of possible weather interruption and give me the option to change my tour time. We stood with our original 3pm tour, and God shined some light to have a beautiful bote ride! He talked about lake history and fun facts. Offered to take our group photo in front of the boat, and we just had the best time! Thank you so much!
Mineshaft Coaster
The coaster is fun. It's about a 6/7min ride overall. You want to get there early. First you have to make line to sign the waiver then you make line to buy tickets and after you make line to get on the coaster. They're strick on no purses, they have lockers you can rent.
NJIT Big Bear Solar Observatory
Great place and amazing views, I couldn't stay long in the area but I did enjoy every minute of it. Also a very cold area, so bring plenty of jacket's. Will come back, don't know when... But I will.
Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain
We visited on January 1st, it wasn't very crowded because it was raining. We had a super fun few hours on the tubes! They have a magic carpet where you ride on your inner tube. Tickets include unlimited rides for 6 hours; a great experience. I felt like a child!! What I didn't like was that you have to go to different places: one to buy tickets, another to sign the waivers, and yet another if you want to ride the Mineshaft Coaster. It's confusing and not very practical. The place is definitely
Gold Rush Mining Company Adventures
This place is awesome! I had so much fun picking out geodes and cracking them open. For me this was super special. I would recommend it for families and adults who like rocks and gems. Panning for gold was fun and cracking geodes was so entertaining. Definitely an experience you can't find anywhere else in Big Bear. Highly recommend doing this for families with young ones and any rock nerds out there. You can't miss this. Such a fun memory!
Big Bear Snow Play
Lots of night fun! We did four rides in a little less than 1 hour during the night run. Pricing was 50$ per person for unlimited rides, from 5pm - 9pm. We only stayed for an hour but we had a blast! Recommended boots because it is slippery.
