Dam Keepers House

a nice little stop on your way to big bear. Good views of the dam and lake. Parking is across the street, right at the bend. Limited.

Parking is across the street, 2 side park stops near the big bear dam. Climb is only a few minutes. The view is amazing. Great place to get photos of the ruins. Window photos are stunning. The lake is so green from the view from the top.

The coolest part of the remains of this structure is the history behind it. It originally belonged to a pioneer who was there for the dam. Easy to get to. Assuming you can't jus drive right up to the structure, so we parked below along the street, looking towards the lake. The old home is above the dam which has an amazing view. The views of the lake, the damn, the mountains n trees are worth the exploring alone. Check it out
