The Hideaway Big Bear

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabin. The place is very nice, beautifully set up, and feels cozy yet spacious at the same time. The location is truly amazing, the bus stop to the mountain for snowboarding is literally steps away (about a 2-minute walk), which made getting to the slopes incredibly easy and convenient. My family stood here for a weekend and everything was so nice. From the booking til the end of our stay, we were so comfortable. Our cabin was super clean, kitchen and dining was perfect for us to gather, the views and fun in the snow so memorable! Can’t wait to go back. And very nice hosts also!

Five stars without hesitation. If you’re looking for a polished mountain stay that still feels authentic, this is it. The cabins have that classic Big Bear charm — warm, inviting, and woodsy — but with elevated touches that make the experience feel special. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the driveway and parking areas were plowed and easy to navigate, which made arrival stress-free with a little one. Location-wise, it’s hard to beat.
