Power shutoff watch: SCE monitoring Big Bear lines Saturday night into Sunday

Southern California Edison is monitoring transmission lines that serve Bear Valley Electric Service for a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) this weekend, BVES announced Thursday, September 24[1]. No outage has been confirmed, but if SCE de-energizes those lines, BVES would have limited capacity and some or all customers across Big Bear Valley could lose power[1].
The window of concern runs from 6 p.m. Saturday, September 26, through 3 a.m. Sunday, September 27[1]. BVES has said it will continue monitoring conditions and notify customers of significant changes.
