Castle Wood Cottages

My wife and I rented the Castle Garden cottage for our wedding anniversary. To say it was good would be an understatement. We both loved every detail: the "castle" moat with a waterfall you can turn on and off, the long medieval dining table, and tapestries and weapons on the walls. We used the built-in Jacuzzi to unwind and warm up after a relaxing after dinner walk around the village. In the morning, we had a visit from Sir Gawain, the feline manager, who is the friendliest cat I've ever met.

We stayed in the Castle Garden in late December. It was the MOST amazing place I have ever stayed. The cottages are centrally located in Big Bear. The Castle Garden was themed to perfection. It was exquisitely immersive. We brought costumes and took a bunch of photos. The cottage gave us the perfect backdrop for our pictures. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is phenomenal!

I'm impressed with the level of detail that went into this themed cabin. It's tri-level and you enter from the second floor, where there is the Jacuzzi upon entering to your left and a swing under a tree to your right. Downstairs you pass a little drawbridge with a "moat" (with water!) to a dining area with long table where the kitchenette area is, replete with ice machine, Brita pitcher, sink, mini fridge, microwave, keurig and a restroom. Upstairs is the bedroom, with a gargoyle overlooking a
