Holiday Inn Resort the Lodge at Big Bear Lake by IHG

We made a last-minute trip to Big Bear last weekend to catch the snow, and like everyone else, we found that most Airbnbs and hotels were either booked or refused one-night stays. We ended up at the Holiday Inn basically out of necessity. We’d driven past it before and weren't impressed by the older exterior, but we were pleasantly surprised! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! Let me start by saying, I don’t expect nor do I want a response from the hotel about my review. Based on the “we don’t give a crap” attitude I’ve seen from the hotel’s responses to previous reviews, this property owner does not care about customer service. We experienced a complete loss of running water during our stay, which meant we could not use the toilets, sinks, or showers for most of the night. While management later stated that the issue was fixed at 10:00 p.m., guests did not actually have access to running water until approximately 3:00-4:00 a.m. This was far more than a minor inconvenience and affected basic accommodations.
