Southern California Edison is warning Big Bear Valley residents that a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) is likely before the afternoon is over. As of 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 5, SCE indicated it is likely to shut off power to Bear Valley lines within the next four hours because of wind-driven fire conditions. If the shutoff goes into effect, conditions are expected to last through midnight Saturday.
